Reddit is growing fast. We have raised $410m in our Series F funding to make strategic investments in the platform including video, advertising, consumer products, and expanding into international markets. We are hiring across the board, I want to specifically stress out the jobs for video product which is currently a really exciting area to work and innovate in.
For any Golang enthusiasts out there: we are writing more and more of our services in Go. We have interesting challenges in scaling, data pipelines and building the foundation for a series of new products.
Reddit does not have geographic compensation adjustments: you can work from anywhere and receive compensation tied to pay ranges of high-cost areas such as the Bay Area (https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Reddit-permanent-work https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Reddit-permanent-work...)

- Nowyouknow 5y agoHi, a heads up for your HR dept. - I noticed that the Partner Relationship Specialist (Contract) JD is for a copy/paste of the ad measurement lead role.
- platzhirsch 5y agoThank you!
- donretag 5y agoDo you have any information about the Los Angeles office? Is any engineering located there? I realize that the office is very likely closed at the moment, was wondering for when things open back up. Difficult to search for information regarding Reddit, but it appears the office is in Santa Monica. Would you happen to know the address?
- platzhirsch 5y agoWe have engineering in Los Angeles but I am not sure about the office either and reopening depends fully on how the situation with COVID will evolve.
- tuyguntn 5y ago@platzhirsch do you know how long usually it takes from clicking "apply" button, to 1st interview with technical team? can you also share bit about interview process, are they leetcode questions?
- platzhirsch 5y agoI don't have any data on this.
- throwawaythekey 5y agoCould you outline specifically which Go roles would be interested in Australian applicants? I applied a number of months ago to a few teams marked as REMOTE and was told my timezone was a deal breaker.
- platzhirsch 5y agoMy bad, I checked again and it appears that roles in Australia may be limited to non-engineering roles.
