Or more people could grow their own food.
- colechristensen 5y agoContrast this with the constant flood of HN comments about how every desirable city is morally obligated to become a hyperdense megacity. I don't know how much food you're going to grow in your 400 sq ft closet in an apartment tower.
- bluGill 5y agoI can grow a lot of food in that much space. The problem is plants need light which is cheap from the sun, but there isn't enough in my closet so I need expensive lights on all the time. It is much more energy efficient to grow plants in open fields and fly the results to me (and using trucks, trains and ships is cheaper yet)
