This seems to be very close to the number of Traffic Fatalities for 2021. From the way the news media reports on gun violence, I thought that the number of gun deaths was much higher than vehicle related deaths.

- throwawaylinux 5y agoWell it's an issue is very politicized and that many people believe they can considerably improve the problem. Automobile safety is pretty non partisan and has been considered an acceptable risk by most. There are stranger things about the issue though, for example the number of people murdered by handguns vs by rifles does not match the gun control rhetoric.
