Nobody is control yet everybody has some control - true democracy. The public transaction problem is solved by bullet & zero knowledge proofs in currencies like Monero & Zcash. I trust Monero more as it seems Zcash has a on demand back door to unravel specific transactions. Web3 is a panacea but it might take a decade to arrive as the building blocks are in place.
