Well this looks to be setting up to be very bad PR for these companies not to mention criminal proceedings in Congress if there are any accidents attributable to 5G rollout around airports. Falling back to 4G in those areas doesn't seem like an unreasonable compromise until the technical aspects are sorted out. It's unfortunate that these companies are now in a mode where potential loss of life < profits. This usually doesn't end well for everyone involved.
- wkearney99 5y agoBased on what? Plenty of other countries all over the globe have enabled the use of these frequencies, and planes aren't falling out of the skies.
- ozfive 5y agoDo you know whether those countries set up 5G near airports or realized that it might be a problem? I am assuming not as you assume they have.
