This is why I don't look to Mars as some Utopia. You will have the same shit there but infinitely more expensive.

- onion2k 5y agoI like to imagine that Musk might announce that his Mars colony will be a socialist society at some point - low-income workers like teachers, nurses, and garbage collectors are going to be needed there but they won't be able to pay to get there. The obvious solution will be a "tax"-based single-payer system where some extra people tag along with the wealthy ones who are funding everything. The reactions of his fan base would be genuinely hilarious.
