300+ comments in a hour??? C'mon now, this all can't be genuine. I don't think Google returns the best results all the time either, but most "outage" posts don't get this much engagement so quickly.
- Zamicol 5y agoAll last week I was lamenting to my coworker at the decline of Google for technical results. Anecdotally, I googled "the oa wikipedia" last night and Google had no clue what I was talking about. This morning it's working as expected. It was ironic to be confirmed with pop culture and a Hacker News post. I've noticed a decline in the last 3 years, and a huge drop off in quality in the past few months. Another example from a few months ago was searching for "milankovitch cycles" and Google had no clue. A few days later it was working again.
