This seems reasonable as our brains build a model of the world we perceive as opposed to observing it (the external “model”) directly through vision. It’s like streaming!
- rini17 5y agoOf course to make some sense of the world a model is required. But our brain perception model has these counterintuitive "features". It's not only about vision. We seem to hallucinate whole reality at some half second in the future and if any stimulus comes that diverges from the hallucination, our brain retcons it. Or ignores it.
- kordlessagain 5y agoI'm still trying to figure out how thinking mind and body perception integrates with that model. :)
