Nobody mentioned the biggest disadvantage, which is losing determinism. Good luck debugging CI tests that run locally because some other PR added some quirky row to the db. Rollbacks are not perfect because sometimes you need data to be visible outside of the tx. Tests must be simple and as close to the real thing as possible. The main reason we have unit tests instead of integration is because they are simpler to exercise and maintain, thus giving a quicker feedback in the long run.
