Any idea how carcinogenic Lysol wipes are from exposing them to your hands everyday from sanitizing surfaces? The chemical is really unique sounding.

- Spooky23 5y agoHonestly, I don’t know, but the MSDS sheets all call for users of wipes that use quats to wear gloves or wash hands immediately. Also, they are not to be used on food surfaces. When I was stuck researching this topic, I spoke to a few academics… their recommendations were always cautious around quat products, and usually peroxide was the “wipe of choice” if it was ok for the use case. (Ie you cannot use peroxide on computers, keyboards, etc.)
- sizzle 5y agoThanks, gonna get some peroxide!
- errcorrectcode 5y agoNot smart. It says right on the bottle that it's not made for skin contact. Check the ingredients (if they're all listed) and see if there's safety data for them all.
