right, I used to have a firewall that could whitelist apps in the 90s on Windows (can't remember the name)... iptables can't even do that as far as I know... but there is https://github.com/evilsocket/opensnitch https://github.com/evilsocket/opensnitch that I still need to try (I no longer use Windows).
