      I believe Full Time Equivalent, but I was referring to the modem rating (i.e. 14.4k, 28.8k, 36.6k, 56k, etc.).

  No one got that this dude was talking about modems. But then, I have to wonder if the Diaspora folks did it intentionally... they seem, how shall we say, "postmodem"?
