I've been working remote only for 20 years now, and don't consider any positions that require on-site/travel. Its become MUCH more prevalent in recent years, obviously. However I find a lot of my friends that HAVE jobs already are taking advantage of the new location freedom. When they next look for a position, I fully expect them to be looking for remote only, same as me.
