What’s Gone Missing from US Comic Books and When Did It Go Away
- rapjr9 5y agoI think the recent success in turning comics into movies has had a negative effect on comics. Many recent comics have become attempts to try to cash in on comics current popularity. Comics used to have 40 pages of actual comic; now they have six pages of comic, ten pages of advertising, no notes from the editor, 6 pages of alternate covers, 10 pages of rough sketches, and a few pages of internal advertising for other comics put out by the same publisher. There is very little comic left in the comic.
