I speak with California bias, but the culture/recognition of Taiwan is rather massive here. Not as massive as Japan or South Korea, but very notable. It's all mostly food related though. Boba, Night markets, Taiwanese breakfast. On the "namebrand" side, there is TSMC as well, though I feel that's gained notoriety in the last few years from the US's media push, not necessarily through Taiwan's own efforts. There's still a fair amount of association with Taiwan <--> Chinese culture in many American's minds, but there's certainly some differentiation. Again, potential California bias.
