It depends on what you consider a smart home. I'm going to jump into a complete renovation project in a month and the only smart home feature will be these Shelly smart switches: https://shelly.cloud/ https://shelly.cloud/ to control lights. I'll also install some movement sensors to turn on bathroom lights, but that's it. I'm not going to hook this up to voice control, that's good for amusing guests, but I feel the interaction is just weird.
