The ultimate dad poem.
- gerdesj 5y agoQuite. Now what we need is a response. Done right, it could be quite something. Anyone up to a response to "it", ie. son's response to father?
- jimmygrapes 5y agoDear dad, you're wrong, I hate working you're wrong, I hate taking responsibility you're wrong, I hate caring about others you're wrong, nothing that happens to me is in my control you're wrong, the world is too big for me to influence you're wrong, i am too important to be ignored you're wrong, other people are assholes you're wrong, I could have done better
- acheron 5y agoThis should be the Reddit motto.
- gerdesj 5y agojimmygrapes - I'm granddad for a couple of girls but as you say: I'm not your dad. You sound like me 30 years ago. Yes, we are probably wrong most of the time but we still care for you.
- jcims 5y agoThe challenge for me has been being so distracted by the ways i was wrong that placing the burden of correction on anyone but myself seems cruel.
- jimmygrapes 5y agoThank you for what you do and have done
