I also definitely went down the route of just fixing the cap, because well, we only had like 2 or 3 of them in our parts kit, anyway. And I appreciate you mentioning the resistor tolerances because, no, you don't really have a 1 kOhm resistor. You have a 987 or 1009 or something else near 1000 Ohm resistor.
