- sundarurfriend 5y agoAs the article mentions, these are thought to refer to particular games ("ashtapada" = (game of) eight steps, "dasapada" = ten steps). From the description (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashtapada https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashtapada), they sound like casual games somewhat similar to Ludo/Parcheesi.
