Visualizing the 94T world economy in one chart
- spicyusername 5y agoI wish they'd break the U.S. up by state like they did for the EU.
- cyberge99 5y agoThe EU is comprised of countries.
- gizmo686 5y agoFor economic purposes, the EU single market behaves much like a single large entity.
- vidarh 5y agoThe single market != EU. E.g. Norway is part of the EEA and the single market, but not the EU. Switzerland is part of the single market but neither the EEA or EU.
- spicyusername 5y agoLol, right. Countries that are the size of US states. The US is huge and diverse, much like the EU. Lumping all the states together hides all that variance and comparing the entire US to individual EU countries isn't really comparing like to like.
- sto_hristo 5y agoWould be great if these also take into account actual population as well as that is at the base of the actual economies.
- TruffleLabs 5y agoThis is an art piece, not so much a chart. It's hard to compare regions (the text data helps).
- TruffleLabs 5y agoThe expanded version of the image does provide some comparison context.
