Maybe it’s time to get a proper publicly funded universal healthcare system. Then these problems would go away. My hypothesis is it could be funded if we increased federal taxes by 100-200 basis points.
- droopyEyelids 5y agoI believe a functional universal healthcare system can only be created without interference from the existing insurance companies and healthcare networks, but they have a strong lobbying engine that cultivates both sides of the political spectrum. If we make a universal healthcare system now, it could be a slight improvement for us, but it can only be written and passed in a way that will funnel an even larger portion of GDP to health insurance companies and hospital networks.
