- throwaway0a5e 5y agoOn one hand Ford does very deep fleet discounts. There's no way to tell how much it actually cost them. But on the other hand, being given 11.5m to buy 160ish cars and spending every penny of it is exactly how government "use it or lose it" budgeting works so I wouldn't give NYPD any credit either.
- renewiltord 5y agoThey paid $200 million to settle claims against them last year. The idea that there is any accounting of budget on this front is ludicrous. NYC is a spending machine. This is nitpicking pennies.
