This is the dumbest excuse, you are not immune to existing rules just “because crypto”. The likened laws don’t need to mention crypto specifically to apply, did they even stop to think for a single second before they did this? If the crypto community wants to be taken seriously and not constantly regarded as a joke, they ought to do themselves a favour and at least try to be a bit competent.
