This happened to us. The driver agreed to take a “shortcut”, full in snow, deviating from the main road. The shortcut was a forest road, 28% steepness, the snow chains didn’t help much, really fun. Nobody in the car blamed Google maps. We all blamed the driver for being a complete and clueless moron. This is a lesson the driver won’t forget.
