I’m a bit older and concur. One issue driving it is the abandonment of personal responsibility for any aspect of our lives. Americans have it constantly drilled into them to expect authority figures to take the lead on providing our basic necessities, handling workplace disputes, obtaining medical care, etc., why should we be surprised that they’ve lost the ability to think for themselves?
