My $200 Monoprice MP Select Mini has been going for the past 5+ years with no maintenance (I know) and was an absolutely great purchase. Yeah it's not open source hardware, but attach a Pi to it with OctoPrint, and it's a great low-cost way to get in to 3d printing.
