I used Scala over Python for lots of Spark work. The only thing I didn’t like is that I really struggled with the functional syntax for working with lists and maps. I felt the learning curve was steep in that specific area. Aside from that, really nice, elegant language. Is Kotlin still that relevant after the latest releases of Java?
