I wonder if something similar could be mixed in with police/ambulance/fire sirens? I have to pull over for one of them maybe a third of the time when I’m driving these days and it can be hard to determine where they are approaching from. Alternatively, maybe it’s possible for cars to determine the direction, much like that system that can pinpoint gunshots (also in use where I live) and flash up details on one of the many screens in my car.
