Vodafone UK still associates your contract with a phone number. That is, if you wanted to keep the contract and re-associate your phone number with a new contract that is not possible without paying for the remaining months on the contract.
- Nextgrid 5y agoPotentially, but my point is that it's a commercial decision or incompetence (maybe the number is used as the primary key for the contract record?) - technically there is no reason for this.
- heavenlyblue 5y agoIt’s incompetence driven by the market conditions: nobody on the market can do that and therefore no one is motivated to do that. I can understand that maybe not many customers ever need this too. AFAIK the engineer on the other side of the call said nobody provides such a service in the UK.
