I've had my Discord account permanently deactivated because I somehow triggered an automated system to think my account was suspicious. My phone number was verified, I was a good faith participant in many servers for years, and a paying Discord customer. My only guess about what might have happened is that I was using a VPN and there may have been someone using the same IP that did something suspicious. In any case, there is no recourse for me, and I am permanently banned from using Discord. So yeah, please don't use Discord for FOSS projects, or anything else important.
