Quick validation question: As ‘technical entrepreneurial talent’, what benefit am I getting from this site? I already get pitched 1-2 ideas a week from a wannabe non-technical founder in exchange for a laughable amount of equity. They often times have no operations or sales experience so it would be on my shoulders to do literally everything except have ‘vision’ as they like to say. If anything you should be invite only for the founders and vet that they’ll bring something to the table.
- dmasupa 5y agoOur marketplace delivers on what we are calling, Talent As A Business (TAAB) Model for the entrepreneurial talent. Founders don't come to look for technical co-founders, rather they come with a specific need or "an entrepreneurial opportunity, as we call it." E.g. Let's take "Startup X" at "Idea" stage with a co-founder. This co-founder could bring an opportunity to "Build an MVP" with needs of a full-stack engineer, Product Manager, etc. For the respective skills, the founder would connect with entrepreneurial talent with these skills and the entrepreneurial talent would execute based on the scope of the opportunity. Besides this, we've worked on an algorithm that factors an entrepreneurial talent's market experience and what we call "entrepreneurial talent value" to suggest equity/or cash compensation. With the TAAB Model, entrepreneurial talent can trade their skills like currency while becoming co-owners or portfolio owners in startups where they executed on an opportunity. As an entrepreneurial talent, you don't have to worry about "operations" or "sales" because it won't be within the scope of your opportunity.
