I have a 4k external monitor for my laptop and I really kinda hate it. Everything is too tiny and puts strain on my eyes. I could set apps up to have larger fonts, but I happen to have a lower resolution screen in another office, and so the settings would have to be changed whenever I go there. It's so annoying. The 2k X 3k pixel resolution, whatever it's called, is the best one for me.
- TowerTall 5y agoif you are using windows go to settings > display > Scale & Layout > Scale: set it to 300%.
- martopix 5y agoUnfortunately for some reason it's not possible with my model of screen, or with minidisplayport, idk
- idiocrat 5y agoI am using 43 inch 4k monitor (around US$600). It has a low enough dpi, so the text looks readable at native resolution, without scaling or upscaling. My viewing distance is 70 cm / 30 inches.
