There is a link in this article to another article that contains a pretty shocking global estimate based on excess deaths: https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/coronavirus-excess-deaths-estimates https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/coronavirus-excess-... It is more than 4X the official count. Some of that is probably in places with no official numbers. But one wonders how many are in China.
