COVID isn’t causing cancellations. They are already understaffed and people are calling in “sick” during a major holiday. COVID is a great excuse if you need to call in sick. All the major airlines require employees to be vaccinated. With that I highly doubt they are regularly self-testing. The most obvious and rational explanation is that they are either calling in fake sick or the vaccine is completely worthless.
- DamnYuppie 5y agoYou can still get and transmit COVID if you are vaccinated. The vaccine merely reduces the effects of it so it is less potent to you. That aside I am not sure I really disagree with your assertion that many are just calling in sick. It is awfully suspicious that many people got COVID at the same time, but they are exposed to people from all over the world on a daily basis so maybe they are the "canary in the coal mine".
- codeddesign 5y agoOn a side note: I agree with you but that is certainly not the language that is being sold to the public. My previous comment was more about the news twisting reality and writing scare tactics to get eyeballs.
