Accessibility is the one area fashion barely matters. I don't care if I look like Molly Millions or a 60s psych experiment. I'll take anything that makes it easier for me to use a computer. If I could have sensor fusion with my eye tracker and mental commands for mouse operations that'd be a killer app for me.

    my feet are as messed up as my hands unfortunately, but foot pedals are great for a lot of people!

This is a fascinating topic (hence the HN points, I guess) but note that the article is three years old.

The second demo would be really dope in combination with a AR/VR headset – just look at a thing, do a "mental grab" without any visible hand gesture, and reposition the thing somewhere else. Or look somewhere, think "teleport" command and in a blink of an eye, you'll be there.

I recently stumbled upon this blog by accident and impulsively bought the new version of the headset used here. Unfortunately turns out that the company (emotiv) made a turn from an open sdk to a closed one with high licensing fees, requirement for cloud connection etc... So be aware if you're also interested.

If someone could turn this thing into a hat, I'd love to wear it everyday. Use it to take notes, and search for things.

I have ADHD... and I'm wondering if maybe monitoring brain waves, I could find a way to stay in 'focus' states by maybe auto-playing music on alexa that triggers certain brain waves when my brain starts to lose focus, or likewise when I'm having anxiety, etc. Or some sort of reminder, or notification to do something... maybe a ritual or something that re-centers me.
