In 2022, security will be Linux and open-source developers job number one
- voakbasda 5y agoColor me skeptical. Security is not sexy. It is expensive to do right, so most of the time it is not profitable. I expect nothing will change until legislation gets passed.
- rurban 5y agoExtremely unlikely. Only if the maintainers do a complete 180. So far you are ridiculed if you raise security concerns.
- peakaboo 5y agoHaha no. There is nothing fun or interesting about security. I don't think developers are enjoying security in general - in fact it's responsible for why things often are complex and difficult (specially when you are forced to use "best practices" which is another rabbit hole of stupidity sometimes)
