I’m psyched for Raised by Wolves S2. I loved Foundation as well, despite the departures from the books. The genetic dynasty addition was easily the most intriguing part of the show.

How did Foundation end up being after episode 2? I stopped watching then and kinda forgot about the show

  The primary characters had a permanently grafted on idiot ball and made many tragic mistakes in order to keep the story moving. A character from the books who considered violence to be stupid became an action hero who rejected non-violent solutions. It was not good. Taken as its own thing, it's ok, tolerable to watch if you don't have anything better to do with your time.

    Yes. My biggest irritation with the show is that literally the entire point of the books, and the reason to read them at all, is the central, intriguing idea of psychohistory and the Seldon plan. These ideas are front and center in the books and literally inform every scene but in the show they are almost an afterthought. The result is that the show feels nothing like the books, at all. Frustrating. Someone will have to remake this show again and hopefully do better at capturing the ideas and feeling of the books.

Glad to hear RbW S2 is coming. I HATED Foundation. I tried to power through it and gave up in disgust halfway through episode 6. Agreed that the genetic dynasty was the best part of the show, and really the only parts that I enjoyed.

I loved Raised by Wolves as well, especially how they modded the religious’ outfits after the crusaders. HBO has other shows such as His Dark Materials and The Nevers that are good too. They certainly aren’t afraid to be anti-(organised)religion despite being from US. Foundation on the other hand, it is as if Apple TV tries too hard to be politically correct or “woke”…
