Two big things that annoy me about google: 1. They somewhat get around this with their maps feature, but their regular search doesn't actually search by area; you always get national websites that optimize the best. That would be a nice feature to have starting out without having to type in the specific area you're looking for. 2. Search results for hotels that actually work! Not only if they're set up on OTA's! This could actually get your search engine some traction as the search engine to go to when making travel plans which would give you a nice niche to start out in.
