Java on VSCode is fragile and odd. Refactoring sometimes off, code completions breaking etc.. IntelliJ gives you a 20% boost if that's what you do all day ... it's priceless. I used to use VSCode for everything, now I use a 'Good IDE' if one is available. Basic IntelliJ is also free.
