Anandtech: How much performance improvement does DDR5 offer?
- srvmshr 5y agoThe biggest change will come from the individual DIMM chips going up to 256 GBs. Samsung has made DDR5 SDRAM up to 512GB per stick, but as per industry reports - they are datacenter-oriented SKUs. Notably, with higher speeds @ 6000~7200Mhz, this performance will be a few multiples more than DDR4. The only thing to keep a watch might be power draw & heating.
