Is capitalism a dirty word? We asked Gen Z
- uejfiweun 5y agoI was actually surprised by this result. I am in Gen Z and I would have guessed that 2/3 would be anti-capitalism. However in reality it is < 50% of people. I guess it really is just the most vocal ones who set the discourse. And I think these generational gaps are somewhat expected, since obviously people at the start of their careers will have less capital and will look upon a system of capital less favorably than those who have worked for many years and are benefitting from the system.

- ok_dad 5y agoSpeak to anyone and you’ll get a variety of responses. Millennials and boomers don’t have a lock on stupid beliefs, and you shouldn’t look down on a huge group, like an entire generation, with wildly varying beliefs based on stereotypes.

- armchairhacker 5y agoIs communism a dirty word? Is socialism a dirty word? Ultimately a thriving society can claim to be any one of these. On the other hand, all of these principles have major flaws and none are good when applied absolutely.
