I wish I could say the silence of nobody caring was deafening, but it's being drown out by the sound of our leaders marching us toward destruction.

For all of human history the elite become complacent, and believe they are special. They lack an imagination for chaos. There earth has been in a long period of temperate climate. It has had many longer periods of inhospitable climate. The earth will be just fine. But it will result in mass migration, domestic and regional, and with that always comes social upheaval. The Grapes of Wrath is a small scale version of what's coming. I do not think we have invented the social or cultural tools to adequately manage it without resorting to violence. The problem isn't even climate change anymore, that is inevitable. It's already happening. It's been happening. We need to build the capacity to manage the coming consequences.
