This is a cop out. All they have to do is use rate limiting. GitHub, Google, Instagram and many others seem to manage it fine.

- wasmitnetzen 5y agoInstagram? The app which doesn't allow any other client and only has a half-assed web version?
- svnpenn 5y agoI agree with all that, but thats not really what the argument is. As crappy as the Instagram web client might be, at least Instagram has a proper API, that accepts both authenticated and anonymous requests.
