Made a Rubik's cube kind of game for phones (http://eclidus.com http://eclidus.com) with my buddy and sales were at that level for a while. Then they died down, I couldn't be bothered to market it so I made it available for free. :)
I'll probably try something similar again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- dylan604 5y agoIs there a pattern similar to an actual rubik's cube that allows for "speed" solves?
- trkulja 5y agoYes sir. You can YouTube it as some people have posted the algos they discovered. :)
- dylan604 5y agoI assumed since it's the same-ish principle. I find it fun how people will strive to work so hard to "ruin" a game, but it is definitely impressive to see how they go about to learn the solve. That should be a Show HN in and of itself.
- trkulja 5y agoOh definitely, the whole arduous process of finding a solution and then getting the best time possible is fascinating. We actually wrote a bit about it here in terms of the Rubik's cube itself: https://www.eclidus.com/our-story.html https://www.eclidus.com/our-story.html
- trkulja 5y agoOh and we got featured by Apple. That's what drove the initial sales.
- edanm 5y ago(Speedcuber here) This looks awesome, downloaded and going to try it out.
