Paywall: can’t read. But that never stops us from speculating based on the title/thesis. The USA is lucky (and all the Americas are lucky) in that we have more wiggle-room in guessing what the best population growth rate should be. Nobody is going to starve in the US (for many decades at least) if we guess wrong. China/India/Africa on the other hand… Bloomberg has a NYC bias and the business plan for NYC has always been import unwashed masses, exploit them mercilessly but provide the resources/opportunities for their children to have a better life in the US. Immigration shuts down, and NYC becomes a pretty sickly shark. That should be noted…
