I don't think bronze is actually intended to be used outside of the context of the study. My impression is that it exist purely to make it possible to to conduct a study to quantify the overhead of constructing code that can pass the borrow checker. It's possible the team behind this may have hoped to use the study as part of a grant proposal to get funding to build out a more robust GC for rust.
