- bravetraveler 5y agoI've heard that, CUDA I think being the driving factor - openCL being a bit of a joke in that area... is that about right? Personally, that stuff is little more than a "I'll play with it if I have an idea/opportunity" thing
- rowanG077 5y agoIt's just that the AI crowd has made their bed so now they must lie in it. It's true that openCL is more clunky to use then CUDA but the difference is not world shattering. So the AI people thought it was a good choice to gain a little bit in language ease of use and locking the entire industry to Nvidia because of it.
