What practical steps did you take to go about investigating your own genome like this?
- freshpots 5y agoIt sure sounds like they spent a lot of time here: https://www.naturalnews.com/ https://www.naturalnews.com/
- podgaj 5y agoNo, actually not. I hate that website with all my being, and I hate all the naturopaths that spout nonsense about nutigenomics. I sat in on classes at UNC Chapel Hill and I only use peer reviews studies. If you want to challenge my knowledge please do so. I have spent 20 years doing this. I have a livelong disability and it runs in my family. NO one knows the cause but I am pretty sure it is mitochondrial and is largely affecting oxidative stress. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20833242/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20833242/
- podgaj 5y agoIt is hard and it takes a long time. And I would not recommend it if you are not suffering from any chronic illnesses. Most people's disorders are due to diet/environment. A good place to start is uploading any data you have into https://promethease.com/ https://promethease.com/. I would ignore most of the "good" and "bad" results, I only used it to find rare SNPs that might be linked to my disorder. The best thing you can do is get your whole genome run. You can do it now for about $200.
