I was disappointed with this article, as it seems to be rather selective in its facts. It doesn't feel like an honest attempt at objective analysis. I'm pretty well read on Soviet social history up to the dissolution and I'd like to get up to date on the Ukraine. Can anyone recommend books in English that survey developments of the last couple decades while trying to avoid partisanship?
