Interesting, I hardly run into it in my personal bubble. Sure, it pops up here and there, but not much more than, say, VR when Occulous Rift was all the rage. It's just enough to make me realize that it's something some people consider to be revolutionary, but not enough to tempt me into googling what it's all about (web3, specifically. I kinda know what NFTs and smart contracts are about, I think).
